My normal choice of keyboard for many years was a regular shaped standard bought from a superstore. I didn’t realise it, but I was actually doing myself quite a bit of harm and developing problems such as RSI or repetitive strain injury.

I personally prefer to my buy wireless keyboard and mouse onlne, as opposed to visiting a superstore, as I prefer not to be bothered by sale staff.
What parts of the body are usually affected by Repetitive strain injury (RSI)?
The symptoms are dependent upon what action is repetitively being done. The arm, wrist or hand are the areas on the body that are normally the first to be affected. The most likely sufferers are those people who use computers, typewriters, musicians and people doing repetitive tasks in factories. It is possible to develop RSI by overdoing DIY or sporting activities that involve repetitive actions.
What are the symptoms of RSI?
The damage usually show in the form of pain, tightness, numbness, throbbing or tingling in areas that have been affected. The symptoms usually develop slowly and without much warning. Probably you will notice the general symptoms appear only when the repetitive task is being conducted, disappearing when the muscles are at rest. As time passes, the symptoms tend to remain even when the task has been completed. Every time the task is repeated the pain gets steadily worse, building upon successive actions.
